Richmond’s Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center: 17 Positive COVID-19 Cases Confirmed


The Texas Department of Emergency Management has informed the City of Richmond of 17 positive COVID-19 cases at the Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, an area long-term care facility located in Richmond.

The Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center will have the state of Texas Rapid Assessment Quick Reaction Force on location to conduct a site assessment and administer additional COVID-19 test to all residents, healthcare professionals, and staff members on Thursday, July 23.

The Center for Disease Control has affirmed long term facility residents are at high risk for infection, serious illness and death from COVID-19. The City of Richmond is committed to working with local community partners, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus in the Richmond community and surrounding areas.
